Be Not Weary

Seems as time moves along there are often days I do not feel very energetic, my desire to sit down grows stronger and my “get up and go” has definitely gone somewhere else; yet, God has instructed us to continue on. He has instructed us to not grow weary.

2 Thessalonians 3:13 KJV
“But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.”

All through the pages of the Bible there are stories of those faced with obstacles that seemed insurmountable; yet, God always made a way, He always gave them the strength to proceed.

Hebrews 11:33-34 KJV
“Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.”

In their weakness, God brought strength. “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

In our weariness we need only look to Him, He knows and sees all. He understands our limitations, the inner thoughts and fears that we might have; the struggles we face that cause us to become weary. He knows and sees all, and He cares.

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

Our Lord has promised to carry all of our struggles, all of our concerns and cares of this life. He has promised to fight the battles for us, if we simply come to Him in faith and give it all to Him.

2 Chronicles 20:17 KJV
“Ye shall not need to fight in this battle : set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.”

Isaiah 40:31 KJV
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Galatians 6:9
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

"For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour, that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." Titus 3: 3-7

"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. The Lord lifteth up the meek" Pdalms 147: 3-6

"The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart: and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." Psalm 34:18

"Woman where are those thine accusers ? Hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee go, and sin no more." John 8: 10b-11
