I will wait upon Thee my dear Father

Taking one more step each day,

Knowing You are there to guide me

As I continue in Your Way.

I may not see the way before me,

But Your face I clearly see,

Within Your Words I am reading,

As I trust You come what may.

You are always here beside me,

In Your arms I find sweet peace.

The world around me seeks to bind me,

But in Your Son I know I’m free.

I need not fear the dangers,

Stirring swiftly all around;

For in Your arms is safety,

While evil continues to abound.

I’ll wait for You to guide me,

Knowing You are in control.

Finding strength in the promise,

One day You will take me Home.
