A Faithful Creator

I watched the little butterfly as it flew from flower to flower within my garden. The storm had passed, leaving behind evidence of its destructive power with tree limbs wrenched and twisted, with debris littering the ground. It seemed the butterfly had experience its own devastation as a portion of its right wing was deformed and broken. As I sat and watched the butterfly flutter about, God brought a thought to my mind. Though it was broken, it continued to fly.

The butterfly did not stop just because it was no longer as it was before, it continued on according to God’s design. Watching the butterfly fly upward I felt a tug within my heart; the butterfly never questioned its ability to fly, it simply functioned as the Creator had instructed.

Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.” I Peter 4:19

“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” Isaiah 40:28-29

When I am no longer as I was before, I can trust in a faithful Creator to give me the power and strength to continue according to His design.
