It’s just too much . . .
Every day it’s more and more and more, the weariness of all the turmoil threatens to defeat me. I feel my heart within me weaken, feelings of despair edge about the threads holding my sanity in place. My strength fails within me, I see the day before me and the uncertainty brings a hesitancy within me. I hesitate to move forward; my heart is weary, my strength can not be found.
“My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.” Psalm 73:26
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10
In the quiet of daybreak, He steps in and renews my strength once again. With the light of the sun, in the truth of God’s Word, I find my strength in Him.
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2
Though I may see darkness as I awake, He will bring light about me strengthening me with the light of day. Just as the sun starts to rise I breathe in His renewal of strength for today.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1
“God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.” 2 Samuel 22:33
It’s not about me at all, the day before me is simply me taking one step forward, while He gives me strength. It’s all through His power as He perfects His work within and through me.
It’s not up to me at all, as I begin my day I know that come what may today, it’s all up to Him to give me the strength I need. It’s all up to Him to provide the way, for He is my strength.
“I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.” Psalm 18:1
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
